Sensory Safari
10 a.m. - 8 p.m. | Every Wednesday in June, July & August.
Guests who are blind, have low vision, or experience sensory processing needs will have the opportunity to touch, feel, hear, and smell at interpretative stations located throughout the Zoo. Nature experts from organizations across Nebraska will engage visitors at each station. Sensory Safari is a partnership with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, and Nebraska Center for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired.

Boo at the Zoo
October 26-30
Boo at the Zoo is Lincoln's largest trick-or-treat event. The entire family will love stopping at trick-or-treat booths to get candy, coupons, and more. All of the money raised during Boo at the Zoo directly supports the Zoo and its animals.

Zoo Lights Powered by LES
November 21 - December 30 (Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)
Get in the holiday spirit with Zoo Lights Powered by LES! During this event, the Zoo is transformed into one of the largest lights displays in the Midwest. Experience multiple light shows choreographed to holiday music, hanging vine lights, light tunnels, over 30 lit animal silhouettes, holiday train rides, and more! Don't forget to stop by a s'mores or hot cocoa station for tasty holiday treats. Proceeds from Zoo Lights Powered by LES directly supports the Zoo and animals in the winter months.
