Responsibilities and Duties

Overview
The Operations Manager II main responsibility is leadership of the Guest services custodial team and successful execution of rentals. Responsibilities include oversee and lead daily custodial operations, manage custodial inventory, procedure development and implementation, successful execution of rentals, and general operational oversight. The Operations Manager II is expected to train, lead and manage the custodial and rental team to provide exceptional Guest service. The Operations Manager II is a full-time year-round position with weekends, holidays and evening work. Schedule will be Thursday through Monday but may be subject to change based on business needs. Some shifts will be during normal business hours, some will adjust for evening or morning rentals. The ideal candidate must have exceptional Guest service skills and a strong desire to exceed Guest expectations. Background in custodial work is a plus.

Principal Duties:
• Oversee and lead daily custodial operations
• Training manager for custodial team
• Responsible for management of custodial supply inventory
• Develop, implement and maintain standards and procedures to provide Guests with a clean environment
• Ensure that custodial and related facilities and equipment are maintained and in proper repair
• Partner with other departments to meet custodial needs throughout the Zoo
• Perform custodial-related tasks as needed, while meeting or exceeding Guest service expectations
• Oversee and manage Zoo operations during rentals and other non-business hour events, including food and beverage and maingate operations
• Act as backup to Operations Manager and Food & Beverage Manager on their days off
• Support all areas of the Zoo to ensure each Guest has a great visit
• Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Excellent Guest service skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to create and maintain positive working relationships
• High attention to detail
• Desire to provide high quality Guest experiences to all Guests of the Zoo
• Demonstrated ability to interact with and positively influence others to contribute to organizational effectiveness
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate personnel to meet Zoo objectives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Supervisor’s Title: Director of Guest Experience
Personnel Classifcation: Fulltime/Exempt
Regular Days Off: Tuesdays/Wednesdays, but could adjust for business needs
Position Salary: $33,000-35,000
