CATZ Applicants 2011 - FAQs

Who is eligible to receive CATZ passes?

Nonprofit agencies who serve at-risk children - both in the city of Lincoln and throughout the state of Nebraska - can request CATZ passes on behalf of their clients. CATZ passes are intended for use by your clients and their supervisors or chaperons. CATZ passes are not valid for entry to Boo at the Zoo and Winter Weekends.

When can the passes be used?

2011 CATZ passes are good for one visit to the Zoo during the 2011 Zoo season - April 15 to October 15.

How does the submission process work?

Qualifying nonprofits will be able to apply for passes to the 2011 Zoo season directly online. After completing the online form, your application is automatically submitted by email. Once your application is reviewed, your organization will be notified, and the passes will be made ready for pickup at the Administrative Offices located at the Zoo.

To ensure acknowledgment of your ticket request and receive prompt notification throughout your application process, it is important to provide the Zoo with as much information as possible. Please be sure to include all contact information, including telephone numbers and an email address.

To expedite your application, please be sure to include your email contact information.

Where will I go to pick up my passes?

The Zoo’s Administrative Office is open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. CATZ passes must be picked up at the offices by a representative from the organization and distributed to your clients before their visit to the Zoo. The Zoo is unable to distribute passes directly to your clients.

When can I submit a request for my organization?

The CATZ application process is paperless. Follow this hyperlink to the CATZ 2011 Online Request form.

How is the CATZ program supported? Does it have sponsors?

The CATZ Program is supported by individuals and organizations who want to ensure that all children of our community have an opportunity to make an emotional connection with our animals.

Donors to the CATZ Program receive thanks and praise from Zoo volunteers and staffers for their contributions, but nothing can compare to firsthand testimonials from those who utilize CATZ admission passes. Please take a moment after your visit to send a letter of acknowledgment from your clients, your volunteers, or your agents. We’ll be happy to forward your comments to our donors.

Please address your letters to: Lincoln Children’s Zoo, CATZ, 1222 S 27th St, Lincoln, NE 68502.
