Expedition: Florida Traveling Camp
Ages 14 - 18
Expedition Florida is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure through some of the world’s rarest animal habitats. Students will begin their journey at Heartland Scuba Center, learning the principal skills of diving. Next, board a plane to the Atlantic Coast of Florida for the opportunity to study with animal biologists at Marine Lab research facility in Key Largo and kayak through the African exhibit at Brevard Zoo. This true-life adventure concludes with an exciting, behind the scenes experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Trip Itinerary

  • Monday - Heartland Scuba and a behind the scenes tour of Lincoln Children's Zoo
  • Tuesday - Fly to Florida and drive to Marine Lab at Key Largo
  • Wednesday - Visit Brevard Zoo and kayak through the new Africa exhibit, zip line through the zoo, and hand feed giraffes
  • Friday - Go behind the scenes at Disney's Animal Kingdom
  • Saturday - Fly home
