Field Trips

The Zoo is a great place to bring your school or daycare group.

With a reservation, reduced admission is available for groups of 10 or more children age 2 or older involved in an educational activity. Field trips may be scheduled during normal Zoo hours. Open daily April 15th through October 15th, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. During June, July and August, Zoo remains open until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Admission, Train and Pony Ride Prices:

Admission in $3.25 per person or $3 for tax-exempt organizations. To receive the discounted rates, one payment must be presented for entire group at Zoo entry. If individual payments must be collected by Zoo personnel, regular rates will apply - adults $6.50, children 2-12 $5.50 and seniors $5.50. Memberships may be used if parents are in attendance with their children and proceed through gate separately from group.

Discounted train and pony tickets are available - Train $2.00, Pony $3.00. These may be purchased anytime during the day.


Lunch and Picnic Needs:

Groups pre-ordering meals from the Safari Café are eligible for a 10% discount on all menu items. To receive a menu or pre-order for your group, please call 402.475.6741 ext 132 .

Zoo policy is that no outside food may be brought inside Zoo grounds. ** NEW FOR 2009** We are making an exception and offering our private picnic area, at no charge, to school groups that must provide lunch to students. This area must be reserved ahead of your visit as it has capacity limits. Multiple groups will be scheduled together to reach capacity. No catered or potluck meals are allowed. This is strictly for sack lunches. Meal storage prior to lunch time is the responsibility of group leader. Zoo is not responsible for lost lunches or 'squirrel nibbling.'

If the private picnic area is unavailable, groups may eat lunch outside Zoo grounds. Groups are not allowed to eat sack lunches in ZooVille Square.
