Throughout the year, the Lincoln Children’s Zoo has many events to help raise funds for the Zoo. Below is a listing of those events that are open to the public. Please contact the Zoo at 402.475.6741 for additional event information or to find out how you can become a sponsor for an event.

Garden Party - held June 13, 2009

Everyone's favorite Garden Party, this event features an evening of great food & drink, a fast-paced live auction, while surrounded by our animals. This is the Zoo’s largest adult only fundraising event.

Brew at the Zoo - held in July

Sponsored by the Young Professional Group, this event provides and opportunity to revisit the Zoo as you sip your favorite beverage, mingle with the animals, and network with other young professionals. Exchange cards by the emus, talk trends in the butterfly pavilion -- here's your chance to talk about business in a unique environment.

Lynn Vermeer Memorial Golf Scramble - held July 13, 2009

Support the Zoo while playing a round of golf at Firethorn Golf Club. This event memorializes Lynn Vermeer, a past board chair of the Zoo and partner at BVH Architects. BVH Architects has partnered with the Zoo to honor Lynn and raise funds for major exhibit work at the Zoo.

Boo at the Zoo - held in October just before Halloween

Since 1977, Boo has been our largest fundraising event, and the largest Halloween party in the region. Generations of children have enjoyed a merry-not-scary visit to the Zoo, while visiting the many treat stations.
